Celebrating Violas

What sound worlds can a solo viola, in size between violin and cello - create in a  church one late summer evening? This short and creative viola recital aims to inspire, dazzle, shock and awaken a  curiosity into the depths of the individual and cosmopolitan sound of the viola. Performed by 2021 graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and local Chiltern  Music Academy teacher Eleanor Walton, the recital will include the idiosyncratic baroque composer Franz Heindrich  Biber’s Passacaglia, twentieth century Paul Hindemith’s Op.25 Sonata no 2. and J.S. Bach’s Suite no.3 in C major.
