About Speen Festival

Speen Festival has established itself as a celebration of the very best artistic and creative talent from the village itself and the surrounding areas. At the heart of the Festival is the desire to provide local people with opportunities to create and participate in innovative, artistic events. Performances, exhibitions and outdoor activities are offered to the whole community at affordable prices. The Festival reaches beyond the village boundaries and is a true platform for new and developing talent excelling in art, music, dance, science, nature, photography and environmental action.

This year is one like no other. The COVID-19 pandemic put a metaphorical wrench in plans from the get-go, and took the iconic Festival Show down with it. Nevertheless, a core team of committed volunteers, corralled by Cat Cook, put their heads down, masks on, and pulled together a festival comprising a whopping 30 events. This Festival in its 20th year (11th Festival) promises something old and something new, so, prepare the family and dive into the box office, opening soon.
