About the event

Join us for an informal exhibition with the artists and designers of the Black Swans Studio Of Culverton Farm , Princes Risborough. You'll have the opportunity to browse their work and latest projects, and listen to presentations covering their processes, inspirations, and the importance of art and design for wellbeing and how aesthetics and function can co-exist in your home. 

There will be a Q&A and plenty of time to mingle with a drink at the bar.

Karina Thomas MA (RCA)

Karina Thomas studied Constructed Textiles at The Royal College of Art. Her work includes the Totem range of window treatments and wall hangings and current work in investigating the acoustic properties of textiles. www.karinathomas.co.uk | Instagram: @karinacthomas

Lisa Vaughan Thomas MA (RCA)

Lisa Vaughan graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1992. Producing hand made embroidered accessories for interiors. Lisa has exhibited her work internationally. www.lisavaughanthomas.co.uk | Instagram: @lisavaughanthomas

Christopher Kelly

Chris is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist. Chris currently teaches at Central Saint Martins, Chris has been researching and developing his new, CSM-funded project, Interwoven: Neurodiversity and the Creative Mind, which explores neurodiversity through sculpture and movement. https://christopherkellydesign.com/ | @christopher_kelly_plus

Jessica Jordan

Jess is a multidisciplinary designer, specialising in evocative wallpaper, fabric, lampshades and upcycled furniture through her brand Wild Lone. Jess’s recent projects involve salvaged and painted lamps, and glass demijohns transformed with milk paint and calcium-carbonate powder to resemble marine artefacts. Louise Brooks-Usher, event coordinator and a member of the studio, has experience teaching arts and crafts to children and young adults. Lately Louise has run a series of workshops from the studio for the young guests from the Ukraine.
