About the event
How often do we spend time looking at or looking after our feet? In my classes I often find that the answer is ‘no time’. Yet they are the foundation of good posture, a keen sense of balance and our ability to move freely. Compressed, tight feet are rarely happy feet. Without enough space, the feet lose their supple mobility, which is needed for the constantly changing and adapting angles, forces and surfaces that standing, walking and moving around entail. When feet are not able to make the ultra-fine adjustments that provide stability, structures elsewhere in the body must compensate. Muscles grip, connective tissues harden, tighten and eventually solidify up the legs and into the hips to make up for the foot’s lack of adaptable function.
In this session, you will learn some techniques with a massage ball that you can do at home to help bring more mobility and reduce tightness in the toes, feet and ankles which in turn help to bring more fluidity to your movement and a greater sense of stability. Massage ball is included in ticket price.
Bring a Yoga mat (if you have one) or Towel. There is no requirement to wear a mask during exercise. Please complete the health questionnaire when booking
