If you are concerned about the alarming statistics regarding insect decline and its effect on our  planet then this evening is for you.

We have put together some like-minded individuals to share with you some simple ways to make a positive impact on our precious pollinators.

This informal evening blends a practical workshop with informative presentations including:

  • Bees and other pollinators. A presentation by local bee-keeper Clare including the threats to insects and how to i.d. different pollinators. Outlining different types of easy- to-build insect homes.
  • Learn how to make your own beeswax reusable food covers. Banish the cling-film! Watch a demo of how to make the covers then take home one ready-made and a ‘make-your-own’a kit for two more.
  • A talk from local sustainable nursery owner Billy Stott.

Discover which plants are best for which pollinators and how to garden the insect-friendly way.  There will be a chance to buy pollinator-friendly plants at the end of the evening (cash sales only).
