Speen Festival 2009
Jazz

As in previous years, Martin Hart's jazz evening was sold out within a few weeks of the Box Office opening, attracting a good mix of jazz aficionados and those who would not normally attend jazz concerts. (This year's theme 'The Irving Berlin Story' proved so popular that it quickly developed a waiting list!).

Indeed, this much-awaited evening did not disappoint. On the contrary, Martin and his band gave a spectacular performance of Irving Berlin's music from his most famous compositions: 'How deep is The Ocean' and 'Cheek to Cheek' to some of his not so well-known numbers: "Change Partners" and "I used to be Colour Blind".
