Another sunny day dawned for our first Festival of Food, which enjoyed a record number of visitors. On entering the Festival Marquee, the senses were pleasantly assaulted by the inviting smell of tasty dishes including Thai and Cambodian curries not to mention the many delicious titbits for sampling including game sausages, chutneys, cheeses, cakes and chocolates.
 
In the busy Children's Corner, there were plenty of workshops on making sugar paste roses, fresh pasta as well as imaginative cake decorating practice. Judging by the reaction to the day from both stallholders and visitors alike, this is definitely an event to be repeated.
