The Village of Speen lies high in the Chilterns about 4 miles North of High Wycombe and South of Princes Risborough.
Speen festival was first run in 2001 but was based on a festival founded by villagers Martin and Marjorie Stockley in 1999 to celebrate the passing of the Millenium. The festival has since gone from strength to strengh running in 2003, 2005 and now 2007.
The festival runs over a two week period and features a variety of arts and activities including a full theatrical production staged in the Marquee. Previous years have also seen the BBC recording the popular radio shows ¨Quote Unquote¨ and ¨Any Questions¨ in the village hall.
