We’ve got a bit of a reputation in the Chilterns (and beyond!) as “the little village that puts on a big event” and this year we really lived up to it once again.  The mix will be one familiar to you, - theatre, arts, crafts, nature and music, - but this year we put on extra events including some to appeal to the “teen plus” age group.

...And Speen Festival 2007 didn't disappoint! With many firm favourites from previous years and some new twists the festival has gone from strength to strength involving the whole village. Here's looking forward to Speen Festival 2009!
Cabaret Supper
The theme for the 2007 finale supper was “Cabaret” and the event’s artistic directors, Kate and Sam Laughton, laid on a stupendous line up of local talent on show. With amazing food to top it off, a great time was had by all.

Musical Theatre - Three Cheers for Mrs Butler
It's over! But don't despair. If you missed, want to relive your favourite moments from the show (Mad professor or maybe Mrs So-and-So ¨I'm a lady¨) or see fellow villagers in full thespian flow you can still order the video.

Visit Speen Stores to sign up for the DVD of the show, £12 each.
Children - Teatro Unfortunato
Children (3 – 10 years) were not forgotten with the return of the ever popular “Teatro Unfortunato” on the morning of Saturday 15th August. With their “Fantastic Tales of Lord Smelly and Captain Bravado¨.
